GraphAcademy Now Offers Online Neo4j Certification Exam

London – Feb. 2, 2016 – Neo Technology, creator of the world’s leading graph database, Neo4j, announced its first-ever Neo4j Certification for professionals.

With the significant growth in deployments of Neo4j by enterprise customers across all industries worldwide, technology enthusiasts can now gain certification to prove their Neo4j expertise. The exam is offered online through Neo4j’s GraphAcademy, which also provides other innovative and flexible training and tutorial options.

“The demand for engineers with Neo4j skills is growing tremendously,” said Emil Eifrem, Neo Technology’s CEO and co-founder. “This certification is a direct response to the widespread adoption of graph databases and the increasing importance employers are placing on Neo4j expertise.”

The First Official Neo4j Certification Exam

The exam consists of 80 questions that must be answered within 60 minutes. Student must obtain a score of 80 percent or higher in order to become Neo4j certified.

• Graph data modeling problems
• Neo4j in production, including clustering, backups and monitoring

In today’s job market, NoSQL database and data analysis skills are highly valued, and graph database knowledge is in especially high demand. Forrester Research predicts that 25 percent of all enterprises will use graph databases by 2017 (TechRadar™: Enterprise DBMS, Q1 2014. Forrester Research. February 13, 2014), while Gartner Research reports that graph databases are the fastest-growing category in database management systems, and that “by the end of 2018, 70 percent of leading organisations will have one or more pilot or proof-of-concept efforts underway utilising graph databases.” (Gartner, Making Big Data Normal With Graph Analysis for the Masses. July 27, 2015).

The Neo4j graph database works differently from traditional relational databases, “connecting the dots” by forming dynamic relationships between different data sources. Systems integrators and developers can use the platform to build the next generation of intelligent applications, enabling disruptive business innovation.

The Neo4j community is the world’s largest graph ecosystem comprising of hundreds of thousands of developers. The company has trained more than 31,000 developers through online and classroom training programs and with over 30,000 meetup group members in over 30 countries, Neo4j’s meetup is the largest grassroots gathering of graph database enthusiasts.
